Ballet (Fine Art Photography)

There is nothing like ballet to speak beauty, strength and grace.

The ballerina's body is a particular work of art, sculpted from hours and hours of hard work.

and flexibility are mesmerizing.

It's hard not to admire how dancers move their bodies and hold themselves. But dancing also changes something about who you are on the inside, for even when sitting or resting, ballerinas exude confidence and elegance.

And don't forget the joy that overflows as they do the thing they love!

These pictures are from a style photo shoot with other Chattanooga photographers. The dancers range from professionals to advanced students and dance and teach at different studios around town, one of which is Chattanooga Ballet. Thank you for sharing your art with us! And thank you to The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel for allowing us to shoot in your lovely gardens.

A Note to Photography Enthusiasts:

I shot most of these pictures on film using a Pentax 645N and Fujicolor pro400H film. The film was developed and scanned by The FIND Lab in Utah (FIND stands for Film Is Not Dead - amen to that!). I edited the digital images using Mastin Labs' Fuji Pro Pack for Lightroom. Can you guess which are digital and which are film?
