Mike & Louise were high school sweethearts (we actually went to the same high school but didn't overlap - those young chicks ;o))! They radiate beauty and joy from within and their special day reflected all that they are. I couldn't be more honored to have been their wedding photographer! Here's their wedding story.
Louise and the girls spent the morning at a family friend's gorgeous home in Denver, CO. It made for an intimate and relaxed start to the day.
Hair was done by a friend, Marie Novak, who did an incredible job with Louise's gorgeous, thick hair. Even as it slipped out during the reception, it feel into a classy low pony tail!
The matron of honor had done her duty and started the morning on the right note...
not forgetting a little fun...and the HYDRATION!
Make-up was by the talented Nicole Toledo. Louise glowed!
The ladies' host and the mother-of-the-bride provided a lovely brunch so the girls would be ready for the day ahead!
Final preparations were made at the venue, The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park.
In her understated elegance and with sweet respectfulness, Louise's only accessories were a string of pearls from her mother and one from her future mother-in-law that she wrapped gracefully around her wrist.
The bridesmaids wore mix-and-match short neutrals, the perfect canvas for bright, colorful bouquets!
The guys had their own way of getting ready :o)
It was getting close to the start of the wedding and all of the details were in place thanks to a stunning venue, The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park in Evergreen, CO, the organizational perfection of Organically You Events and gorgeous florals by The Orchid Princess.
Besides the rustic-elegant decorations using tree stumps, bright floral designs, and neutral pennant banners, Mike & Louise's wedding tastefully used hand-made calligraphy signs on reclaimed wood and chalk boards throughout the event in lieu of paper. Gorgeous and green!
As guests arrived, Louise's bridesmaids and family surrounded her and prayed over her.
And then it was time...
His face says it all!
Mr & Mrs Mike & Louise Korsick!
In their own little world, Mike and Louise just held each and basked in the joy of having just said their vows.
Next came the formal portraits while guests enjoyed the outdoor cocktail hour.
We snuck off for a few quieter shots just with Mike & Louise
Their guests were well taken care of in the meantime.
Check out this fun idea for a guestbook!
And lawn games!
Once again, the wedding team at Organically You Events did an amazing job setting up the reception!
The desserts were hand-made by Louise's grandmother who couldn't attend the wedding.
Then it was time to celebrate! The speeches had everyone laughing.
And the dances had us all wiping tears from our eyes.
Especially the mother-of-the bride as she watched her baby girl and husband dance to My Wish by Rascal Flats.
Mike and his mother danced to A sky Full of Stars by Cold Play.
Mike and Louise chose a fun way to begin their first dance and got the party started right dancing to Want You to Want by Jason Derulo.
This group knew how to party! And they had one of the best wedding DJs I've seen, Tasos from Elite DJ, playing all the most fun dancing songs.
Louise slipped off with her mother to observe the fun from the balcony.
Not long after that it was time for the last dance...
Mike & Louise's wedding was every bit as perfect at it looked! Blessings on your marriage and new life together!
