Chattanooga Mountain Engagement Session - Ben & Corrie

Do you live in Chattanooga? What drew you to this city? Was it family? A Job? Maybe college? Or was it that it's a great outdoor city? Chattanooga is in the running to be named the best outdoor city in the U.S. by Outside Online! Many, maybe even most, Chattanoogans will say that they truly enjoy the outdoors. A short hike or long bike ride, a camping trip or going kayaking on the river are all normal weekend activities for couples, families and groups of friends. It's one of the things I love about the city!

Hiking is something Ben & Corrie have always enjoyed together. As recent graduates of Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, they met on a mountain and Ben planned an intimate surprise engagement on a hike. It seemed only fitting to do their engagement pictures in an outdoorsy location, capturing their natural beauty and that of the city they have called home for the past four years!

I've done photo sessions at Signal Point on Signal Mountain now in the Summer, Fall, and Spring and it never disappoints: the beautiful view of the bend in the river, the lush greens or vibrant foliage depending on the season ,and now this stunning field of wildflowers. Not a bad place to sneak a tender kiss!

Ben custom designed this engagement ring for Corrie! Isn't it lovely?

Despite the presence of a photographer snapping pictures of them, Ben and Corrie retreated into their own little moments throughout our time together. It is so clear that they truly enjoy each other's company and share a sweet love.

When I met them, they told me that they have a bucket list of their dreams for fun and adventure! Ben had Corrie bring it with her on their hike when he was planning to propose.

A romantic mountain engagement. CHECK!

Promising to spend the rest of their lives together is next - in less than two months. I can't wait to capture their wedding day for them!
